SJS Evaluation Program
Prior to each season, St Jane Soccer will run evaluations according to SJS Policy 9414 - Player Evaluations for AAYSL County Players (non-clinic players). Evaluations are done to ensure that each player is placed in the division that best represents the skill level of the player. In this way, soccer can be both fun and challenging for all players.
At SJS, every player makes a team. It is just a matter of which division that they play. Divisions are broken down to Division 1-5, where division 1 is the more talented players. The number of divisions are defined by AAYSL. St Jane submits how many division 1, division 2, etc., teams that they expect to have based on evaluations and the number of players registered; however, it is up to the county to make the final decision based on schedules as to how many of each division St Jane can carry. It is up to age group coordinators to fairly evaluate player skills in order to make sure that each player is in the correct division.
Age Group Coordinators evaluate players according to the following Player Evaluation Worksheet (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view - www.adobe.com).
County games are played against other AAYSL teams.
Evaluation Schedule
Evaluation schedule for for each age group will be set by the Boy's Director or Girl's Director. Not all age brackets may require an evaluation due to the number of players in that age bracket. Check back to see if your age group requires an evaluation.
The player is expected attend both evaluations.
Additionally, players should bring cleats, #4 or #5 ball, shin guards, and water.
